Re: Are Hybrid Architectures the Future of Enterprise Communications?

Thanks for sharing Elka. This solution makes a lot of sense to me. Aside from small businesses, most organizations will ultimately end up with some type of hybrid communications solution. This demand is already proven in how IT solutions are implemented as a mix of customer-owned and outsourced infrastructure and apps.
What I don't believe, is that cloud IP telephony or UC services in any form (hybrid or pure cloud) will necessarily produce higher levels of churn than CPE. Just as with CPE, switching cloud providers is often too disruptive and the incentives providers dangle to get customers to stay are too compelling. It appears Toshiba just gave its CPE customers yet another good reason to stay.
